Arden Hills, Minnesota-based Control Data Systems Inc intends to build itself again by acquisition, and has now signed a letter of intent to acquire Antares Electronics Inc, a privately-held systems integration company based in Ottawa: terms of the transaction are still being negotiated, it is expected to be completed next quarter; Antares, provides specialised microcomputer-based systems for enterprise-wide networking and integration, and generates annual revenues of about $50m from its 170-strong workforce.
