CONTROL DATA HAS THE ‘PIPER’ MODELS OF THE ETA-10

The Control Data Piper air-cooled models of the ETA Systems ETA-10 supercomputer is expected to plunge the company down into the minisupercomputer market, where it will find itself mixing it with the likes of Convex Computer Corp and Scientific Computer Systems: word is that the new air-cooled CMOS machines, expected to appear as the ETA-10 P and Q, will be rated at only around 19 and 24 MegaFLOPS.
