Control Data Corp has created a new post of president and chief operating officer to take some of the load off chairman Robert Price: the new position is being taken by Lawrence Perlman, formerly chairman and chief executive of the company’s Imprimis Technology OEM storage products subsidiary; the company has also moved chief financial officer John Buckner up to the newly created post of vice-chairman and Thomas Roberts, president of the systems and services group, is leaving to pursue other interests.
