Motorola Inc, headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, has won a $10m, three-year OEM order on its Delta Series 3000, Model 3200 multiuser systems from Tampa, Florida-based Contraves USA-SSIL as the basis of its Trainer for Air Traffic Control and Radar system: the system is a voice-responsive, interactive training system for air traffic controllers, and it combines computer-based instructions with scenario-based training; the Model 3200 is a member of the Delta Series 3000, a family of Unix-based systems based on Motorola’s MVME147 68030-based board computer; it also includes the MVME395 single channel graphics display controller and Unix V/68.
