Rockville, Maryland-based Contel ASC has signed a $400,000 deal with British Aerospace Communications to supply components for a satellite data broadcast network – British Aerospace Communications is one of the six companies in the UK granted a licence to provide shared data broadcast services: based around Contel’s EDB-1000 hub and very small aperture terminals – VSATs, the network will carry one-way data to customers through the UK, supporting 32 terminals at each site.
