EAI shop Constellar Corp and BMC Software Corp are going to do some co-marketing around using the Constellar Hub for integrating applications touched by BMC’s management programs. BMC’s software can extract legacy data natively and pump it into Constellar Hub from where it can be transformed for use by other applications. There is no integration work going on. Meanwhile, Constellar is to offer a new EAI audit service which will assess opportunities for application integration within organizations. As far as the business model goes, Constellar’s preferred exit strategy remains to head for an IPO, but it understands the market is hot for EAI shops and says it will have to listen to sensible offers.
