A group of 37 telecommunications companies has formed a consortium to bid for a federal licence to operate a digital cordless telephone company in Canada: the partners include such companies as Le Groupe Videotron Ltee, Telesystem Financial Corp, and Call-Net Enterprises Inc; no financial details of the plan were released.
