Conner Peripherals Inc is to build a new disk media manufacturing facility in Singapore to make 3.5 and 2.5 magnetically-coated thin film platters. CDD Singapore Ltd, a unit of Conner Peripherals Pte Ltd, said the plant represents an initial capital investment of about $44m and is scheduled to begin production at a renovated 133,000 square foot facility in first half 1996 creating and initial 230 jobs.
