CONNER PERIPHERALS DID $113.2M IN THE FIRTS YEAR OF OPERATIONS

The child outstrips the parent: Compaq Computer Corp has lost its record for turning in the fastest ever growth of zero to $111m in the first year of operations, has been beaten by Conner Peripherals Inc, in which Compaq is a substantial investor, which did $113.2m in the first year of operations – and couldn’t have done it without Compaq’s help in more ways than one, because nearly 90% of its 3.5 Winchesters went to the Houston firm.
