Connectivite Corp, based in Tarrytown, New York, says that it has a new development system for writing Apple Computer Inc Macintosh front-ends to existing mainframe applications: called Both, it is based on the company’s existing object-oriented Masquerade software and means that applications written for IBM Corp’s CICS, TSO and CMS environments don’t have to be re-written to take advantage of the Macintosh interface – using Both, multiple host screens can be consolidated into one graphical user interface window, and client-server functionality is in-built, Connectivite says; it will sell for from $1,500.
