The Concurrent Japan joint venture with Nippon Steel has released Japanese versions of its Xelos Unixalike and its own OS/32, and hopes that it will help lift sales this year to $1m from $570,000 in the year to March: the Japanese functions are said to be the minimum required to Nipponise a system, providing Kana to Kanji conversion, a system and user dictionary and an editor; Concurrent Japan began selling its minis in Japan last September.
