CONCRETE BALLAST REPLACES FOXHUNTER IN TORNADOS

Apropos GEC’s embarrassing problems in getting the Foxhunter radar for the Tornado strike aircraft to work (CI No 652), the Guardian reports that Royal Air Force wags are reacting to the fact that some Tornados are flying with concrete ballast in the nose space reserved for the problematic kit by renaming the radar to bring it in line with other airborne systems like Blue Falcon, Blue Fox, Blue Parrot and so forth: they’re calling it Blue Circle.
