Woodbury, New York-based Comverse Technology Inc has agreed formation of an equally-owned joint venture with Magnasync/Moviola Corp for development and the formation of a joint venture for the manufacture and marketing of a digital voice logging system designed to replace muliple-channel analogue tape recorders currently used by a wide variety of organisations in the logging of speech communications: Magnasync will pay Comverse a total of $750,000 to fund the cost of the development of the system, which is planned to be launched in August.
