Comshare Inc, a founding member of the OLAP Council, has resigned from the group claiming it has achieved the goals set by the consortium, all by itself. Chief executive Wally Wrathall said the firm was extremely satisfied with the Council’s direction and success, but as the only member without an online processing database, its objectives differed from the others’, as it wanted to get more robust database vendors involved. Once Oracle Corp and Microsoft Corp became interested, Comshare believed that these objectives had been achieved.
