COMPUTERLAND SHARES PLUNGE AFTER PROFIT WARNING

By CBR Staff Writer

Shares in Computerland Plc, the UK services company, crashed 35% to 103 pence after the company warned that profits for the current financial year will be materially below market expectations. The company has been building up its services operation – which provides 70% of profits – but, partly as a result of the new emphasis, the box shifting side of the business has fallen away more sharply than expected.
