COMPUTERLAND SETTLES A 1984 CLASS ACTION

ComputerLand Corp has settled a 1984 class action brought by 448 present and 336 former franchise holders in the US by agreeing to reduce its royalty on sales to 5% from 8%, to establish a uniform agreement for all franchisees, and to forget about $5.2m of debt owed it by franchisees, and to set up a $720,000 fund for the plaintiffs.
