ComputerLand Corp, Oakland, California, has announced a major reorganisation in the wake of its acquisition by a New York investment group. Under the new corporate plan, the company has restructured its marketing department, formed a new field operations unit, established a separate National Service Company, and created a position of chief financial officer. The National Service Company will operate as a subsidiary with its own president: its primary function will be to provide franchisees with service contracts and technical aid.
