COMPUTERGRAM ONLINE PROBLEMS

By CBR Staff Writer

It’s disconcerting or reassuring depending on your point of view that computer and telecommunications companies have much less faith in their products and services than one might assume from their publicity, as our people seeking to deliver Computergram on line have found to their chagrin: no names, no numbering off by the right, but there was the multi-billion dollar Massachusetts office systems company that found it couldn’t receive the thing because it didn’t have a modem, the heavyweight West German Bierkellerdweller that doesn’t actually have an internal company network, and the telephone company that has now doffed its hairy headgear whose employee was unable to arrange himself a mail box on its own public electronic mail service.
