COMPUTER SCIENCES HAS SUBCONTRACT FROM IBM FOR US FEDERAL AVIATION APPLICATIONS

The new IBM system for the US Federal Aviation Administration’s Advanced Automation System air traffic control modernisation programme will be one of the largest applications to be programmed in Ada according to Computer Sciences Corp, which has a major subcontract from IBM on the pact to write much of it; Raytheon Co is IBM’s other partner on the $3,600m contract.
