Stratagem Plc’s computer maintenance and support services subsidiary arm, Firstpoint Ltd has posted interim pre-tax profits up 106% to ú733,000 from turnover that unfortunately the company was unable to provide. The improved performance is due to expansion into higher margin contract services, according to Stratagem. The London-based group as a whole saw pre-tax profits jump 437% to ú1.5m from turnover that rose 35% to ú45.6m. Computer services is the most profitable part of Stratagem, which does a variety of things from making industrial strength doors to selling cars. Trading is reported to be well ahead of last year and an interim dividend of two pence, up 33% will be paid.
