Carrollton, Texas-based Computer Language Research Inc reports that it has acquired substantially all the assets of Prentice-Hall Professional Software from a Simon & Schuster Inc subsidiary, paying an undisclosed amount of cash, and assuming some ongoing support obligations; for the year to October 27, Prentice-Hall Professional Software reported $14.7m in sales, with a user base of over 25,000 packages in nearly 6,000 locations.
