The Tava Flyer, an 80186-based portable Personalike from Computer Frontier Ltd of Stevenage that is priced around UKP3,200 with a 20Mb hard disk and 640K RAM, and weighs 14.5 lbs, looks likely to join ICL’s One-Per-Desk and Zenith Data Systems’ Z-159 as one of British Telecom’s third party computer offerings; the Flyer is already taken by Philips and Olivetti’s Belgian subsidiary Olimark; Computer Frontier admits that British Telecom has shown an interest and has already taken a sizeable number of machines for internal use; new Flyer models are due next month.
