COMPUTER EQUIPMENT DELIVERIES IN THE US WILL RISE THIS YEAR

The US Commerce Department is forecasting that computer equipment deliveries in the US will rise an inflation-adjusted 22.1% this year, overtaking the motor industry to become the second largest manufacturing activity after oil refining – but most of the forecasts were drawn up in September and early October, before the market crash, and even without a recession, shipments to the securities sector are likely to be affected by the new outlook.
