COMPUTER ASSOCIATES “TO RESELL UNIX” IN UNICENTER-SANTA CRUZ DEAL

Computer Associates International Inc and Santa Cruz Operation Inc have signed an agreement that will take the former beyond the kinds of bundling arrangements it already has in place with Microsoft Corp, Hewlett-Packard Co, Sun Microsystems Inc and others. In two or three weeks, the two will announce CA-Unicenter for Santa Cruz OpenServer as a packaged offering that Computer Associates will also market, bringing, they hope, Santa Cruz right into the coveted enterprise market.
