COMPUTER ASSOCIATES DROPPED FROM IBM’s COMDISCO SUIT

By CBR Staff Writer

IBM Corp’s lawsuit against Comdisco Inc over the reconfiguration of mainframes owned by IBM Credit Corp is in more trouble, and user Computer Associates International Inc, added to the suit in August, has now been dismissed from the suit. As revealed by Technology News of America, the Computer Associates machine at issue does not belong to IBM Credit Corp at all, but to the IBM-Merrill Lynch & Co limited partnership formed in 1985 (CI No 1,747). Computer Associates got itself off the hook by signing a confidential agreement with IBM.
