Japanese software development company Computer Applications Corp has established a subsidiary in New York to cater for the computer applications development, support and maintenance needs of Japanese companies expanding into the US: the US-registered company, Computer Applications (America) Inc, will be headed by K Yamamoto, a director of the Japanese firm and will start life with five people; it will also act as a watching post on US developments, hoping to expand its distributorship activities and development of Japanese versions of major US software packages.
