Computer 2000 AG says it does not know whether it will end the year in the black or in the red – nine-month pre-tax profits at the big distributor were equivalent to $9m, compared with $27.4m for the full year last year (it didn’t report nine-month profits this time last year). It says it is unlikely to pay a dividend for its year to September because the restructuring of AmeriQuest Technologies Inc, its chosen but highly problematic vehicle for getting its distribution skills into the US, is taking longer than the company expected.
