Fast-growing German – now pan-European – computer equipment distributor Computer 2000 AG reported first half pre-tax profit up 8% at the equivalent of $24.0m on sales up 46% at $1,155m; the company gave no net or per-share figure but said that it expected a positive earnings development in the full 1993-94 fiscal year with further rapid growth in its sales; as reported (CI No 2,407), it also has plans for a one-for-five rights issue.
