UK IT service company Computacenter Plc is entering the Belgian market via the 1.64m-euro ($1.72m) acquisition of the distributed systems and services division of ECS International Belgium, itself part of French bank Societe Generale. London-based Computacenter reported revenues of 1.58bn pounds ($2.55bn) in 1998, of which some 200m pounds ($322m) came from its foreign subsidiaries (France and Germany). The acquisition of ECS division brings Computacenter a presence in Belgium and Luxembourg, with revenue for calendar 1998 of 20m euros ($21m).
