Charlotte, North Carolina-based systems and network integration company CompuCom Systems Inc has acquired two loss-making Florida-based integration companies in the last week. Computer Integration Corp, of Boca Raton, is to be acquired for $17.3m in cash and stock. Computer Integration posted revenues of $208.6m for the first six months of fiscal 1998, and losses of $6.1m, and has been going though a major re-structuring exercise. And Dataflex Corp, of Clearwater, is to be acquired for $24.4m in cash. Dataflex, which moved to Florida from Edison, New Jersey two years ago, has 200 staff and made a 7.7m loss in fiscal 1997 on revenues of $255.1m, though it appears to be struggling back to profitability on reduced revenues after selling off its MidWestern and Eastern divisions and its Education division last year. CompuCom made profits of $30.5m last year on revenues of $2bn.
