Today, Eastman Kodak Co’s Interactive Systems Corp is expected to announce an OEM agreement with $515m-a-year CompuAdd Corp, Austin, Texas, which will put Interactive’s Unix System V.3.2 on its 80386 and 80486 computers. Reportedly the main reason that Interactive got the deal is its role as a principal publisher of System V.4 on Intel Corp machines. Direct marketing specialist CompuAdd, which is now diversifying upmarket into Sparc-based workstations, expects to standardise on Unix System V.4. Interactive expects to furnish CompuAdd with SunOS consulting and custom development.
