COMPRESSION LABS ANNOUNCES CTX PLUS

San Jose, California-based Compression Labs Inc has announced CTX Plus, a new video compression mode claimed to provide near-broadcast-quality for group video conferencing: it offers a screen refresh rate of up to 30 frames per second and the video compression mode will be supported by the company’s new multimode Rembrandt II/VP Video Codec which provides a variety of compression modes; the new mode compresses analogue video signals for transmission over digital networks at from 384Kbps to 2.048Mbps.
