COMPLAINTS OVER BRITISH AIRWAYS

By CBR Staff Writer

Hmm, sounds like good ammunition in American Airlines’ complaint versus British Airways over allegedly keeping US reservation systems out of the UK market: the US Department of Transportation has responded to complaints by TWA and Aer Lingus that its system gave unfair prominence to United Air Lines flights by fining United $45,000; the Department found inaccurate and misleading data on international fares on the airline’s Apollo reservation system – but says the favouritism resulted from use of software and data supplied by British Airways.
