Anaheim, California-based Compex Inc, which manufactures Ethernet and ARCnet interface boards for MS-DOS micros, reveals that it taking Novell Inc’s NetWare Lite low-end peer-to-peer network operating system: under the agreement, an extension to Compex’s existing contract with Novell, Compex will sell NetWare Lite to some local net distributors and resellers throughout the world bundled with 8- or 16-bit Arcnet and Ethernet network boards; a single-node Arcnet configuration will retail as low as $180, and a single node Ethernet at $250, with shipments starting at month-end.
