A co-operative $6m programme called Compass in Columbus, Georgia to provide essential education and guaranteed jobs in the region’s rapidly expanding information technology industry has been announced by Total System Services Inc, IBM Corp and Columbus College; IBM’s contribution is $2.5m in grants and discounts, and Total Systems is providing time on its mainframes.
