By CBR Staff Writer

Comparex Informationssysteme GmbH has invaded the former Comecon countries courtesy of its majority shareholder BASF AG, taking over all Comparex computer and peripherals business in East Germany and in Jugislavia, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland. In the first step, the Comparex office in Berlin is being upgraded to a full branch office, and operating bases will be established on other major centres. The company is also taking all maintenance and support contracts from BASF and its dealers, and sees great prospects for expansion.
