Comparex Informationssysteme GmbH’s new low-end mainframe, the 9/920, will ship in the second half of 1992; like HDS’ new offering (CI No 1,804), it has 2Gb of main storage and 4Gb of expanded storage, and is claimed to be 1.1 times more powerful that the 8/98G; also, Comparex is claiming that recent benchmarks indicate a 15% improvement over previously stated performance levels for its 9/9XX family.
