COMPAQ WINS ERICSSON TO GIVE ITS NOTEBOOKS CELLULABILITY

L M Ericsson Telefon AB has formed an alliance with Compaq Computer Corp to develop integrated portable systems combining Groupe Speciale Mobile digital telephony and personal computing. The first product from the alliance is expected to be available from the end of the year, and will enable people on the go to connect to the Internet or corporate intranet, send facsimile messages and electronic mail and exchange documents.
