COMPAQ WINS BARCLAYS WORKSTATION DEAL

The march of Windows NT continues and Barclays Group Plc’s Barclays de Zoute Wedd investment banking arm has given Compaq Computer Corp a contract for 5,700 professional workstations. The contract includes several thousand Compaq monitors as well as 80 servers; the workstations, which are to be used in both the trading environment and the general office, will run Window NT.
