COMPAQ UNVEILS NEW PROSIGNIA SERVER

Compaq Computer Corp is aiming at small and medium-sized businesses with the release of its new ProSignia 200 server featuring a 233MHz Pentium II processor. The box, out now, comes with 512Kb of secondary cache and 32MB of EDO memory, expandable up to 384MB. Prices start at $2,400. Meantime, it has also launched two new notebooks, the Armada 7300 models, weighing 6lb, 1.5 inches thick and sharing most of the features of the Armada 7700s. Prices range from $4,400 to $4,900.
