Compaq Computer Corp is preparing to do battle with Dell Computer Corp next month when it releases a line of DeskPro 2000 and 4000 models with new features and deflated prices: InformationWeek says the new machines are intended to be an a par with models from Dell which sell at some 10% less than those from Compaq. The new systems will feature an accelerated graphics port and Pentium II microprocessors.
