COMPAQ SPENDS MORE THAN $5BN IN TAIWAN IN ’98

Compaq was the top international purchaser of computers and components from Taiwan last year, with its Taipei international procurement office spending more than $5bn. IBM, Dell and HP purchased between $1.5bn and $2.5bn each.
