Compaq Computer Corp yesterday reduced US prices up to 19% on servers from its ProSignia and ProLiant product lines and up to 29% on its server options; the ProSignia 300 with a 90MHz Pentium processor was reduced 14% to $2,800 from $3,243 for one of the lower-end servers – but despite the blitz from Dell Computer Corp, it is holding prices for its Pentium Pro-based servers.
