Compaq Computer Corp is tipped to enter the Ambra end of the business in the UK next month with a rock-bottom machine likely using an 80486SX processor – said to be dubbed the Presario PC, which is expected to start at under UKP1,000 and will go through retail outlets; an entertainment pack is also tipped.
