Compaq Computer Corp yesterday came out with new Lite models in its LTE notebook computer line that weigh 5 lbs 14 oz – about 1 lb 8 oz less than their predecessors – and use the Intel Corp 80386SL power-saving chip, plus other power-saving features: the 25MHz model with 125Mb disk costs $3,700; the entry 20MHz model costs $2,900 with 40Mb disk.
