Making it clear that it is not going to fall behind with its Prolinea budget machines, Compaq Computer Corp yesterday cut prices on some models. The entry-level 80386-based ProLinea is now under $800. An 80486-based ProLinea Model 120 starts at $1,260. The entry 80386-based Contura notebook lists is now $1,500 and the LTE Lite/25c 80386-based colour notebook, is $3,500.
