Compaq Computer Corp will complement its 8086-based LTE and the LTE 286 version with a top-end notebook computer based on the 80386SX next month, the Teleputing Holtine reports: the news wire reckons that the new machine will feature VGA graphics, and a socket for an external monitor and may also be the base machine for a colour screen, expected at the end of the year; the LTE 386 will have 3.5 floppy and 20Mb or 40Mb hard disk, with an 80Mb Winchester expected to follow.
