The folks at Compaq Computer are really quite exercised over the issue of OS/2 compatibility, and the company’s marketing vice-president Michael Swavely made this clear when he told Associated Press in an interview, IBM has done its best to confuse the world, claiming that IBM has been hinting to customers, without actually saying so, that only the new IBM computers will be able to make full use of the new Microsoft operating system: that’s what we call the old IBM FUD, fear, uncertainty and doubt.
