Citing figures from Romtec Ltd, Compaq Computer Corp claims that within three months of its UK launch, the SLT/286 has overtaken every established competitor to become the top-selling battery powered lap-top in the UK market by value, with 38.1% of dealer sales; among 80286-based lap-tops, it was number one by units sold as well.
