COMPAQ BUYS MINORITY STAKE IN NETCENTRIC

Compaq Computer Corp has paid an undisclosed sum for a minority stake in Cambridge, Massachusetts-based NetCentric Corp to seal a deal under which the two will work together on marketing and development projects. They will start with a package for Internet service providers combining Compaq ProLiant servers with NetCentric’s POPware software. Terms were not disclosed.
